Hurricane Michael is in route to Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

Many of the insurance companies in the Florida, Alabama, and Georgia areas have stopped providing new policies due to the impending impact to these areas.  Insurance companies are being even MORE cautious as storms arrive stopping the writing of new policies for almost all types of insurance including:

  • Home
  • Landlord
  • Condo
  • Auto
  • Business
  • Inland Marine
  • Ocean Marine (for this area)

Falling trees could cause damage to an auto or home and for that reason, insurance companies do not want to add exposure for loss when the impending loss looms.   One of the struggles insurance companies find themselves in is when a owner of a home may choose not to insure the home until a hurricane is approaching and then cancelling the policy after the storm is past.  Hurricane Michael is probably going to cause damage in a two to three day time line. Insurance companies want to insure customers with the desire to have a relationship and coverage apart from the pending high risk events.

Good News! We are just like insurance companies.  We desire to build relationships and insure our customers with the coverage they desire.
